Russell we are running business' we dont need fluffy we dont need training by RM we dont want extras and add ons agents want an advertising portal at the best cost full stop. If RM want to expand they should start a second portal for say short let's or concentrate on new markets abroad etc

Spot on, Rightmove and Zoopla will have to adapt to survive.

Does Rightmove subsidize larger agents Hunters stated 60% in an interview What about Openrent a lettings market disrupter Rightmove I guess has to move with the market especially in lettings, who will be the new clients of the future ? Housing Associations, Build to Rent subsidised by the exchequer, property investment companies backed by pension funds ? Perhaps small landlords and small agents are going going gone. Turkeys waiting for Christmas

Agree it's time to support On the Market, look at OPEN RENT online letting at cut price, it's time office based agents supported a trade only portal for traditional agents, so we can stand our ground against the changes coming in the PRS.

OTM need a trigger in my opinion to get agents to act together. I note RM; 1) Have extensive advice information aimed at private landlords 2) Have just bought a tenant referencing company 3) Discount fees to large agents 4) Have pay as you go advertising models already developed ( see overseas private sales ) 5) No longer trade only as deal direct with developers and landlord property companies Are agents especially in lettings just turkeys waiting for Christmas ? Everything is in the timing -

Anti competitive pricing ? Rightmove should remember they are simply an advertising portal, small agents will only put up with so much and jump ship sooner or later. Rightmove, allow developers , private property companies , student block owners ...etc to have their own accounts ...now low cost online letting agents are these being subsidised by Rigthmove to ? Sorry something has to give, why pay top dollar for the crumbs, may as well pay for a cheaper portal
