We support, monthly, our local Hour Community group who do amazing work in the market town of Framlingham and surrounding villages. They deserve so much recognition for their works in mental health via the Worry Tree Cafe, befriending elderly, the Forget me not club for dementia sufferers, taking people to hospital, picking up prescriptions, the list goes on. We are a small agency and can only do so much but we help them physically and financially where we can.

Loathe this practice and a corporate locally really frightened one of my elderly clients. I did take them to task over it but "it came from head office we have to do it" No you don't win your own business.

Feel the clue was in the title boom (or bust). Have to say I do not normally laugh at people’s misfortunes, as we all work hard, but am sure Michael Bruce will not be personally affected so have to confess have had a snigger.

Sorry why are we shocked. In America and Australia they have to sit exams and are qualified - until we are fully regulated we cannot expect to earn top dollar.

I love OTM and I feel I am in the minority but from day one the leads may be less than RM but they are solid and substantial . Just this week put a house on New and Exclusive for 48 hours before RM and sold on day one. Why do we always have to knock everyone and everything. I like RM too we need them just like they need us. Be kind everyone

Quality of life is definitely more important however we need more stock as this lockdown appears to have made people retreat more which is how it should be in relation to the pandemic and staying safe so I think it will be quieter (but we are still selling) on the valuations and instructions front until we are out of this lockdown and then I predict it will be really busy again.

No it is not covid guidelines as I checked with propertymark lawyers as I had a guy totally kicking off that I would not let him view a property as he was not even on the market. Seriously. Hopefully they will make it clearer that it is only proceedable people and not just people with serious intent to purchase. Anyone can say they are serious but they cannot be if they are not on the market Urggggghhhhh.

I agree with Ed Mead. We need to be clearly recognised as the professionals that most of us are and I am in favour of the exams to bring everyone up to a higher level. Feel it would get rid of a lot of dead wood however too many people involved.

Forget new code of conduct. Let’s get properly regulated. Will get rid of dead wood and we can start being seen as the honest , hardworking professionAls that most of us are. Too much red tape. JUST GET ON WITH IT Not all about fees just a matter of people having more respect for the good agents.

I am on full tariff as was one of the first to sign up for OTM and delighted that they are trying to help. Small independent and like the rest of us just want to keep my business intact.

Been saying this for years as living in an area with a rising elderly population. They are crying out for bungalows and due to a lack of them in our area they always sell well and keep their price but they do need to be in decent plots and not shoe horned in as an afterthought. Elderly people are very proud and I agree with John above this frees up large stock and keep the cycle going.
