They will not IPO in 2018. Not a chance. Who wants to invest in a company who’s shareholders are the customers? A price rise will never be voted through and you’ll never make money on your investment. Unless they float at a very low valuation then offer institutional shares later ensuring majority of shareholders aren’t agents to which will allow them to push through shareholder votes for price rises? Probably what they’ll do. They’re demutualising after all.

Interesting to see who's nominated - referral fee panel solicitor or a real one.

If EAT could please update the article to show a room full of 100 people in an office in Delhi hitting refresh on the OTM homepage it would help with the accuracy of the story. Perhaps an interview with one of the local refreshers talking about his RSI pains vs the increase in traffic having the same correlation.

Oh Tim, how challenged you are. A portal is a portal, therefore I use Rightmove and Zoopla. OTM aka the UKIP of portals isn't a concern or an interest for me right now. Essentially OTM is the biggest Thai bride ever except when everyone left their wives for this new online bride they found out on arrival their has a hotdog between its legs and wasn't always a girl.

Looks like Agents Mullered. Bet that Buckingham palace office space seems like a great idea in hindsight. About as great as offering new joiners £50 and founding members £500 contracts. The sooner people are able to "edit undo" this moronic site the quicker we can go back to normal and pretend it never happened. This is a very funny market which is only set to get tougher the last thing we need is to bleed cash like this on a protest vote which isn't working.

I think "On The market" delivers a record high of 5 leads per week per agent" would have been a better April fool.

I'm all up for testimonials, I get why they're important, but surely Savills 1, can't give a testimonial for a company they part own and 2, can't have had more leads from OTM than Zoopla. I'm not a huge Zoopla fan I just can't see it. No doubt someone at Zoopla will release Savills last full year of lead levels/type and ask for them to release the same for OTM....?

By charging new customers £50 a branch and sometimes £0 a branch they've already admitted they've failed. The lack of comments on this article speaks volumes. Where are their testimonials now??

Sure they were hurting, that's not news. They lost 25% of their offices and that must have felt like they'd had a stroke. However you missed the positive growth since May, revenues, profit, and traffic. Most call both combined "the overall view". All I'm wondering now that Zoopla didn't die is if there will be 3 main portals moving forward or if OTM will shut down in the next 12-18 months. Personally I hope it stays. Before OTM I worked for one of the top 8-10 agencies for our area now we're in the top 5. Portals aren't the only reason for that, but were a key element for sure.

Hmm they look like they're really hurting since OTM, don't they?? Waiting to see how the usual fan boys of Springett attempt to spin this one.

Good apps to be fair. Never used the Prime app but I imagine it's a clone of Zoopla's like the website. The Rightmove app doesn't have a find agents section but Zoopla does which I appreciate.

I'm confused. An agent ditched Rightmove to go with OTM and then said OTM was junk and went back to Rightmove so today there is an OTM orchestrated testimonial from a one of their agents bad mouthing Zoopla? Doesn't make sense.

OTM is fast becoming my favourite portal. But that could have something to do with me not being one of their customers! A lot of people got their wings clipped joining this protest vote and so far the only people it's benefitting are myself and Agents Mutual.

If it's the company that is for sale quite strange for an estate agent to be selling a company? This is the same way a lot of super high end stock is sold. I don't think there is a single house on the Bishop's Ave which is privately owned.

Fair answers. Really decent of him to do this interview. A small part of me hoped he would be less dignified around OTM but that's the Daily Mail reader in me getting out.

In all seriousness if the other website did delete your comments that isn't on. You leaving a thousand comments probably didn't help your cause but they shouldn't have deleted them. Also as a British born Chinese person I couldn't care less how many Chinese are in the property industry. It doesn't bother me. By your logic applicants should also represent the ethnic make up of the places towns and cities they're buying into?

Sarah Parker sounds like an absolute bunny boiler. I didn't know Springett was on 500k but if that's true - wow. Insane salary for an unproven start up but I guess they do have 5 year contracts out there. On a side note does anyone know if there is a 6 month break clause in the OTM contracts? A competitor of mine who joined seems to think he can cancel anytime after 6 months.
