Very good idea. When agents are as qualified as nurses can we have a guaranteed income and a massive gov't. Backed pension pot as well? Pric$ks act like it's easy surviving every month in this corrupt, populist country

Nice chat stantini.agree with everything except "I am not saying that online agents should not charge upfront fees, " This should be criminal.

Had this out with boss 15 years ago. I take measurements off floor plans . To risky and now the public are so difficult, not worth it. Just like the min measurents in the main description. Lounge ( 10 x 10 min)

Great idea, but apart from a few pens and a pc once in a while, what products do I need?

Great stats.. we all do a lot of work for just 7 sales a branch. Not sure buyer demand is weakening though. Most look online and so don't register until they view something.

What do kids who have a good background, know a lot of people and get on with people doing now? Where do they work? I hope they aren't packing boxes in Amazon warehouses.

If only the headline had read: some London agents overpriced to get higher fees. But no, had to lump them all together didn't they.

Now times the number of house listed by an average fee of say £2000. That's how much money is taken from local economies, jobs and the nhs. What is the govt. getting out of this? Buyers are losing out on service, sellers are being tricked and shareholders will never see their money back... all this so 2 brothers can buy their local football team to buy friends.

Lsl and savilles should be banned from trading for backing a pay any way model. They can't have any 'core values ' to back it in first place.

no doubt about it. the tide has gone out on fake hedge funded onliners. Bricks only going for same reasons. Spending £1000 on adword to get £800 fee and then customer having to pay a real estate agent to sell it 6 months later.... Which? are to blame..asleep at the wheel on this PAYANYWAY model. rubbish, purplebricks could train their staff up .it doesnt stop the business model being PAY ANY WAY. ASA should be allowed to fine companies who mislead by the amount they made by misleading. So in bricks case they would be charged millions..and not just get a slap on the wrist until next time .. penalise the bad agents not the industry.

Purplebricks aren't a tech company though. They are are a fake advert company, misleading the public better then the other online agents.

This guy needs to be paid on commission after his prophecies come true. People know what their houses are worth 99% of time. It's vanity not tech that makes them want a live valuation.... 'you do know my garden is the 4th biggest in the street don't you ' Universities be next to go to tech. Who needs a lecturer wen you have you tube.

I still think if the offices were making money they would stay open. Its probably the purplebricks taking the profit and rightmove allowing pay any way agents on their site that has done it. Govt . are idiots. All these jobs are killed off and they continue to protect bricks that makes no money and hides negative reviews. We make no tax out of pbricks and customers are being tricked into pay any way contracts... where is the benefit to anyone?

Its becuase investers have worked out that £6million profit values a company at about £60 million not £600 million. No matter how much of the world purplebricks fake expand into, they still have to spend the same on markting to break even ...ponzi scheme.

Yes,,thats all we do.. We dont hold the sellers hand for an average of 4 months. They dont get £1000's of marketing spend Just like tesla only put a few wheels on a piece of metal... be quiet.

Strange really that media dont pick up on this. If ryanair sent people on planes with no wings and then charged them an extra 100% of ticket price if they wanted a seat on the plane there would be uproar. maybe tabloid media show their lack of intelligence by not reporting this.

Rightmove are killing their own customers by allowing payanyway agents on the portal. rightmove have bitten the hand that feeds....good job on the market don't know how to market themselves or they would be in trouble.
