Do the public actually know what an "online estate agent" is? Or are they merely indicating they would use an estate agent that is "online"? Big difference. Strange there is such a disparity between the 65% of active sellers Zoopla say would use an online estate agent, and the 4% that actually do.

Here's a funny thing....PB have 70% of the "online only" market (and only if you look at Zoopla listings for just PB, emoov, Tepilo, Yopa, House Simple, House Network & Doorsteps). However, look at the same stats using Rightmove listings and PB market share is 60%. Go figure!?

This online vs high street debate is far from black and white. In reality the best high street estate agents could charge 4%+VAT and still provide better value for money compared to an ‘internet only’ listing agent.

Hi James. I totally understand where you’re coming from, but let me assure you we have no intention of replacing “human market knowledge”. Quite the contrary actually. We are merely helping vendors decide whether they should go to the “hot” or the “cold” party. It’s still the estate agent that’s the host. Before you make up your mind, please take 2 mins to look at our content. You’ll qickly see what we believe and how we’re here to assist high street agents interested in receiving more respect and trust from the public - https://www.theadvisory.co.uk/about-us/

Great series James and vey well written may I say. Can't help but think River Homes was an interesting choice of HSEA.... Given who has the greatest potential to get maximum buyers through your door (based on stock suitability and sale success rates), I would have thought Whitman & Co would have been your strategic choice. Anyway, wish you well for the next attempt.
