Love the idea! A lot of people go down the crowdfunding route now to take new games to market. There is an avid community of board gamers who would be the ones to try and raise awareness and support, particularly the ones with active websites, YouTube channels, etc. If you do try and get it going, we'd promote it (and buy it!) :)

The 'market snapshot' seems a bit shoddy. So, he's working out a conversion rate based purely on what's visible on a single day? So those stats include properties that may have only just been listed? Hardly the statistical certainty you'd expect from an 'Insights and Strategies' company. For transparency and so the figures actually have meaning, we presume Andrew will also be providing a similar insight for the big traditional agents?

Firstly, most online agents offer in-person valuations, therefore the 2nd goal scored by traditional agents has been ruled out after a review by VAR. Secondly, the referee had a 'mare and missed the fact the online agents DID score another goal, the one on the significant amounts of money they save most sellers on the estate agent fee. Both articles are incredibly biased and neither show signs of 'coming out fighting'. 'Coming out fighting' suggests you have a plan for taking on the online agents not just more whining about them. The fact is high street agents don't have to lose this battle but they DO have to change. They won't win by just trying to belittle online agents. No one finds that attractive, least of all customers.

Perhaps, but they've also given customers what they want.

Hands up who has used Uber? Traditional taxi drivers were up in arms about Uber, many still are. Yet, the fact is, like them or loathe them, Uber are giving customers something they want. That's the only reason they have been as successful as they have in disrupting the taxi industry. Local taxi firms are now starting to catch on and releasing apps similar to Uber. They are fighting back. There's a lot of parallels with online agents vs high street agents. If the high street agents stop complaining for a moment and look at what THEY can do better then the whole online vs high street argument will be dead in the water.

The reason online estate agents are growing in popularity is because they are giving customers what they want. Are they perfect? No. Are high street agents perfect? No. Yet, online estate agents are clearly doing something right. We've seen the same thing with Uber and the taxi industry. Rather than actually look at WHY the digital newcomer is gaining so much traction and then trying to adapt their service to compete, the old-timers just point fingers and refuse to accept the game is changing.

Not necessarily, many online agents are now offering hosted viewings as an optional extra.

Not sure if you're describing high street estate agents or online ones!!!

The problem is, most estate agents don't know HOW to 'sell' a property. Pay them what you want but if they still go around purely pointing out features rather than selling properties based on the benefits to potential buyers, you'll get the same results. And if you're getting the same results, you may as well use an online agent and conduct the viewings yourself!
