Zoopla unveils new tools to get agents to switch from Jupix to Alto

Zoopla is piloting a new data migration tool to quickly transfer agent data from its Jupix to Alto software brand in just four weeks.

The portal said the pilot launch follows an increase in Jupix customers who have decided to migrate to Alto and access enhanced reporting, tenant and landlord document sharing and extensive training which is delivered through on-demand and live webinars. 

Under the pilot, once Jupix customers select their migration date, the transfer of data can begin within 24 hours and the progress can be monitored by customers in real-time.

Agents will receive a confirmation email when the data has been migrated and will also receive a to-do list to ensure they’re up and running as soon as possible on their new software - with minimal disruption. 

This will also be supported by webinars and on-demand training videos for agents that are available to complete at a time convenient to them. 

As part of the migration experience, several additional datasets including the date rent is due and the amount to be charged, alongside management fee percentages will be migrated automatically - removing the need for a large amount of manual data entry. 

This is a unique benefit to Jupix customers and will be alongside existing datasets including property and contact records, property media such as photos, floorplans, EPCs or any documents linked to a property.

It also includes transactional data such as offers, agreed offers, viewings and valuations) which are already transferred automatically. 

Zoopla claims this automated rather than manual transfer will save agents 16 hours on average and reduce the chance of administrative error.

Simon Woodward, director of product at Zoopla said: “Something we’ve heard time and time again from our customers is how labour intensive and daunting a process it can be moving software provider, particularly when it comes to the data migration element.

“This is why we’ve created an industry-leading experience that’s not only bespoke to agents and saves them tens of hours per agent when it comes to data migration, but also focuses on providing a smooth transition with minimal downtime and disruption to day-to-day operations.”

    When we enquired about transitioning from one Zoopla brand software to another (ExpertAgent to Alto) they were unable to tell us what data would be lost or need manual input.
    They sent us lists of data that would move, but not able to tell us what wouldn't - which is the critical information for an agent to be able to assess the loss and disturbance.
    They said they would come back to me when they knew. That was over 2 years ago, nothing yet. If anyone at the group is reading this and actually knows the answer, I’m still here - Ben@Lancasters.org
