Knight Frank has made two senior lettings appointments - one is Mark Batty, a partner within the firm, who’s head of lettings in South Kensington.

Mark joined Knight Frank in 2010 as a senior negotiator in the firm’s Wapping office, before being tasked with opening the firm’s King’s Cross office in 2014. Mark was then made a partner and was given the opportunity to open a second office in Southbank in 2019.

In his new role, he will run the lettings department in South Kensington, driving market share and managing the team of three negotiators.

Knight Frank’s other big news is the appointment of Jamie-Leigh Harvey as head of super prime lettings in the Home Counties.

Jamie-Leigh will be building upon her success in the Elmbridge market, where she has been running the firm’s lettings team for four years.

She says: “I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience to this new role whilst joining our formidable super prime lettings team. I’m particularly looking forward to building further upon our successful collaborations with our specialist rental service lines, including the sports, film, and relocation teams.”

Now to Birmingham where Principle Estate Management has named Adil Riaz to look after a portfolio of freeholder and residential management company clients, as well as new-build and traditional blocks of flats.

Adil - seen in this image with Andrew Winstanley, senior associate director at Principle - graduated in law in 2004 from the University of Central England, now Birmingham City University, and says: “I am looking forward to bringing all my experience to the company and helping it make an even bigger impact in the sector in 2022.”

Principle looks after approaching 8,000 units in around 300 developments across the UK, as well as rented commercial and residential properties

Next up is Strutt & Parker where Oliver Custance Baker has been named head of the national country house department.

Oliver joined Strutt & Parker’s Exeter office in 2011 - by 2021 he was the office director. “To head up a team of agents who are considered at the top of their game and work alongside a network of regional offices, rich in local market knowledge, is what will drive the success of this team for our clients” he says.

-

Savills’ auction department has jobs news too - George Goucher joins an associate after three years as an investment surveyor.

Here’s the latest appointments news from Spicerhaart.

Carlos Hernandez is its new regional sales director for land and new homes in the North West. Until now he’s spent much of his career working with leading local brand, Butters John Bee, now part of Spicerhaart.

Meanwhile the same company has promoted Mark Alvis to divisional sales director for its land and new homes central and east division. He’s had 25 years in the industry.

He says: “I’m excited to raise our profile, driving excellent customer care, developing customer support and staff development, using my experience and knowledge to help drive this growth.”

Buying agency Middleton Advisors has appointed James Moran to head up its London sales operation.

He has over 20 years’ experience of the prime central London residential market, primarily in the Borough of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, and says: “We see it as our role to analyse and interpret market conditions but ultimately to achieve the best outcome for our client. When a property is sold it is the realisation of an investment, and so by the nature of the transaction, everyone wants to maximise their return.”

-

Finally this week, two appointments at PropTech provider Homesearch.

Nikki Anderson is its new chief marketing officer - she has 20 years’ marketing and brand experience in both a client and creative agency capacity. The firm says her core strategic focus will be on building the brand and increasing estate agents’ understanding of the platform.

And Homesearch also has a new chief technical officer - it’s Michael Gray, who has an extensive background in IT and managing big data across public and private sectors. He’s now tasked with acting on feedback from Homesearch’s estate agent base, as well as implementing a range of technical strategies and solutions.

That’s it for this week - there are plenty of movers and shakers in the industry right now, so we’ll be back soon with another Property Jobs Today.

Until then…
