The sponsor of an industry forum for agents and conveyancers to be held next week says the collaborative event hails the dawn of a new era of partnership for the two historic rivalries.
The ESTAS forum, hosted in partnership with Coadjute, will debate what practical steps can be taken to improve the home moving process for all parties, under the theme ‘Working Together Better’.
Coadjute chief executive Dan Salmons says: “We know the property industry is made up of highly experienced, talented individuals who want to work together to get the best possible outcomes for their clients. Estate agents and conveyancers are the two cornerstones of the market and coming together to challenge perceptions and build connections through trust to achieve a common goal is critical for sustained growth.
“We are highly optimistic that the conversations at this event, underpinned by the true digitisation of the transaction process, will go a long way to achieving even greater levels of transparency and efficiency, to the benefit of all parties involved in buying and selling property.”
The forum, which will be attended by over 200 property professionals, will be hosted by two of the best known and respected figures in the industry - Rob Hailstone, chief executive of the Bold Legal Group, and Iain McKenzie, chief executive of The Guild of Property Professionals.
“We want lively and open debate but the pandemic has shown us that during difficult times many agents and conveyancers can work together constructively and harmoniously. It would be great to see those types of mutually beneficial relationships become even more widespread as we head off into 2022 and beyond” explains Hailstone.
Meanwhile McKenzie says: “For as long as I’ve been in the industry there have been estate agents and conveyancers that have enjoyed a fabulous working relationship. Each business, despite looking through a different end of the telescope, understands the roles and responsibilities of each other in the process.
“Their respective clients benefited from this synergy through excellent communication. Why are these relationships the minority despite the obvious benefits? Rob and I intend to find out why and how to collaborate to deliver a better service to the Seller and or Buyer!
The forum will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on Tuesday March 29 - Angels Media, publisher of Estate Agent Today and the other Today titles - is the media partner.
