Agency accuses rivals of copying Hybrid Property Centre model

haart, part of the Spicerhaart estate agency group, has accused rival agencies of copying its hybrid working model.

Spicerhaart group managing director Antony Lark explains: “We were one of the first agencies to change our business model and adapt to new ways of working, even pre-pandemic.

“We now see others trying to emulate this model, which works really well for us thanks to our investment in technology and marketing over the years.

“The centres act as hubs for our growing network of partners, who work in a hybrid way partly from home, on the road meeting clients and coming into the centres for meetings and training. This has enabled us to extend our reach across England and Wales, where our ambition is to provide a service in every postcode.

“By having larger centres, usually with 10 or more staff based in-house and a further six within their own communities, we are able to provide an even better service to all our residential customers, landlords and developers.”

It is understood that typical haart property centres have around 12 staff involved in sales, lettings, finance and administration, managed by an area partner and supporting up to 10 home-based sales and lettings staff.

haart is currently recruiting for staff for a Property Centre in Plymouth as part of its expansion plans in Devon and Cornwall.

It is the third new centre for the Spicerhaart group, bringing the total UK-wide to 61. This is in addition to a network of high street branches.

Plymouth area partner Heleney Henderson says: “Our new property centre is spacious and modern, with meeting rooms for training, providing facilities for Partners as they travel in from across Devon and Cornwall.

“Renovations took longer than expected thanks in part to Covid-19 restrictions. However, it was well worth the wait, as we’re now able to serve the local area with an incredibly talented team.”

haart has also recruited a new area partner to oversee its Leeds Property Centre, which opened last year, as did one in Aylesbury.

Scott Copley has more than 12 years’ experience in the industry, previously with Reeds Rains, Purplebricks and Your Move.

He says: “Already I can see we have a brilliant team here in Leeds which I will develop even further. With the assistance of fantastic technology, I am excited to see us support as many customers as we can across West Yorkshire.”

Bad News Haart - this isnt your idea at all - agencies have been using similar models for at least the last decade. Ask Hunters (as but one example) for instance.

This is a ludicrous and unnecessary claim for Lark to make.
Firstly it’s demonstrably untrue, but perhaps more importantly who cares!?

But being such technological innovators do they not expect others to follow suit?
I think they did the same with Fine haart and Fine & Country took them to Court.

Who is Haart anyway? they shut down in our town years ago after their strategy of overvaluing by 20%, lock in the vendor for a year. (YES A YEAR) and hope the market rises enough to sell it, backfired when prices dropped. ha ha ha Bye.
