Seven independents snapped up by one fast-growing agency

An estate agency in the Home Counties has made two more acquisitions, taking the total number to seven independents it has snapped up in the past two years.

Alexander & Co is acquiring Property Solutions in Buckingham and Zebra Properties in Dunstable. 

Property Solutions, a lettings-only business, joined the Alexander & Co team in December, while Zebra Properties, which covered both sales and lettings, was acquired last month. Alexander & Co says these acquisitions strengthen the brand’s presence in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. 

Prior to these two purchases, Alexander & Co’s acquisitions in 2021 have included Apple Homes in Buckingham and Macintyers in Brackley.

“The acquisitions in the last 12 months have been particularly important to the business” says chief executive George Thomas. 

“The industry has been severely challenged by the pandemic, so it’s fantastic that we have been able to continue to grow during this period. We are also delighted to welcome further team members with superb local knowledge and a passion for helping people to move to our business.”

The two latest acquisitions take Alexander & Co – along with partners Peter Ball & Co in Gloucestershire – to over 130 staff, with 4,000 properties across the region.
