The head of one of Britain’s most successful agency groups says he is a big fan of PropTech - but it won’t beat strong personal agency service when it comes to winning business.
Dorian Gonsalves, chief executive of Belvoir, tells Estate Agent Today in an exclusive video interview that PropTech innovations have been less dramatic during the pandemic but that he expected them to become more interesting this year and beyond.
Even so, he makes no apology for saying that personal agency service is more likely to drive business.

I don't think anyone, agent or proptech supplier, will argue with that sentiment. Quality proptech will generate revenue, create efficiencies or both. Efficiencies must be leveraged, not to reduce headcount, but to free staff up to deliver the 'wow' moments that only a human can!
He speaks very well, and a lot of sense. Not surprising to see that Belvoir have been so successful under his leadership for so long.
Remaining CEO for that long doesn't just happen by luck. Our current national leaders could learn a thing or two about what good leadership means.
