Agents Giving charity appoints another senior agency figure to board

Agents Giving - widely recognised as the industry’s main charity - has appointed another senior agency figure to its board.

It’s Iain McKenzie, chief executive of The Guild of Property Professionals.

He says: ”I am delighted to be appointed as an Agents Giving board member, an organisation that has done so much for agents and their suppliers across the UK. Agents Giving has been a massive support to many charitable causes that have in many ways improved people’s lives.” 

He continues: “As a network, The Guild is very proud of its association with Agents Giving and we are eager to continue our support in the years to come. Last year, The Guild pledged to donate £50 to Agents Giving for every successful referral completed. Building on this, we will continue to look at ways that we can support Agents Giving and the amazing work it does for the sector.”

The other industry figures listed on the Agents Giving website as “the people behind us” include chairman Michael Stoop, an industry veteran who was group managing director of Martin & Co, and current Propertymark chief executive Nathan Emerson.

Also named are the charity’s co-founder and well known training expert Peter Knight, and another agency veteran David Newnes - most recently he bought out 39 branches and 12 territories from LSL Property Services.

New board member Iain McKenzie continues: “Through Agents Giving many within the industry have been able to directly impact the lives of people within their communities who are struggling, especially with the pandemic having impacted so many people financially. We are proud to be able to support the organisation and help those within the industry with the financial support they require to assist those in need.”
