A regional agency has this week opened a new 8,500 square feet office with a pledge to expand and employ 100 staff to fill the new workspace.
Property group Miles & Barr already has 250 staff distributed amongst its branches throughout east Kent but specifically has 70 based in its Herne Bay HQ.
However, there’s space for 30 more and the company promises to increase its sales, lettings and financial services, commercial and land and new homes divisions with additional staff.
Mark Brooks, chief executive, says: “As we plan for the future of the company, the move to a new more expansive head office was imperative as we are actively looking to open new branches outside our current geographical operating area.”
The facility has a dedicated training room, boardroom, multiple meeting rooms, a large kitchen with bistro dining area, plus a garden area.
“We have established a strong reputation locally and count over a third of employees as long-term members of staff, who have been with us for more than five years” continues Brooks.
“Due to the recent Coronavirus guidelines, we have not been able to welcome staff to our head office in the way we would have hoped.”
