PropTech tool shows buyers detailed fit-out of homes pre-purchase

A new PropTech platform has an ultimate aim of allowing house buyers to select and order their interior decorations and modifications ahead of moving in.

This will particularly apply to off-plan buyers of news builds according to the platform, which is called Propster.

The platform has linked with specialist furnishing services provider David Phillips and according to a statement it brings Propster “closer to achieving its vision of enabling buyers to configure the fit-out of their properties, including appliances and furnishings, online.”

Propster founder Milan Zahradnik says: “The completeness of information, including cost breakdowns, allows buyers/tenants to make informed decisions and better prepare for meetings with sales staff.

“Crucially, developers will also benefit from the additional sales opportunities that a wider product range and more choice brings – but in a simplified way so they are not dealing with multiple suppliers, just one platform.

“Ultimately, we’re working to make online configuration a more convenient way for buyers to organise the fit-out and furnishing of their property, well in advance of their move in date.”

Propster extends the existing facility whereby developers and some agents will often provide interested buyers with mock-ups of various fit-out options, to also mean that buyers can view fit-out options with various combinations of products, online in real-time.
