The London agency that was at the forefront of introducing the ‘serviced office hub’ concept of working for self-employed agents has named its latest recruit.
Harding Green was set up to cover just the prime central London market back in late summer 2017. It was the brainchild of Nick Carter, a former Chestertons agent.
Its commission structures for agents working under the brand - it calls them consultants - range from 60 or 70 per cent, and extend to 80 per cent after a consultant has transacted over £120,000 in fees.
Now Harding Green has named Tom Frost as its latest recruit. Frost has been a key figure in London’s Kensington Business Forum and has had significant involvement with Kensington & Chelsea council on projects in his role as director of Bricks & Mortar Consulting, a property consultancy.
“We are delighted to have Tom Frost join us this week, he has worked within the property industry for over 15 years covering residential sales, new build sales and commercial agency” explains Carter.
“Having lived in Kensington, W8 for over 12 years, he has an extensive knowledge of the local area and chaired The Kensington Business Forum, setting up ‘Opportunity Kensington’ alongside Kensington & Chelsea Council and the local business community. We are extremely excited to have him on board as one of our new consultants.”
Harding Green also operates a franchise system and says it ultimately wants offices across the UK in areas such as Mayfair, East London, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Sussex.
The agency claims to have one of the lowest overhead property franchise businesses in the UK, charging £5,000 to secure a location; it named its first franchise shortly before Christmas and says it aims to have four more franchisees in 2022.
A potential franchisee can initially start in their area as a self-employed consultant and convert their business into a franchise down the line.
