No escape from phone calls, even in Microsoft Teams meetings…

If you thought checking in to a Microsoft Teams video-conferencing meeting would allow you to escape telephone calls, think again.

Outsourced communications provider Moneypenny now has the technology to divert incoming calls to agents’ switchboards to employees’ Teams platforms.

The technology can also monitor the status of the team member, only transferring calls when the individual is designated as being free - otherwise it will take a message.

Moneypenny describes the technology as being “100 per cent accurate” and says it provides added-value to the property community “which has already embraced Teams technology during the pandemic.”

The communications firm’s chief technical officer, Pete Hanlon, says: “For some time now we’ve had access to all our clients’ calendars via platforms such as Microsoft Teams, transferring calls virtually, professionally, brilliantly to mobile, office, laptop – wherever suits. Following the success of this system and positive client feedback, we’re delighted to be adding Microsoft Teams call integration to the mix.

“This latest Microsoft Teams integration will super-power our call handling services further and ensure seamless call transfers every time, with maximum speed and efficiency. It is the technology of the future and works equally well, whether in the office or remotely.”

Moneypenny says its client base includes 2,500 estate agents, commercial agents, housebuilders and housing associations across the UK.
