Agents Do Charity - never too early in the year to fund-raise…

Welcome to 2022 and the first Agents Do Charity of the New Year.

We’re all learning to live with Covid a little more than before, so fund-raising was terrific in the period leading up to Christmas - and we’re optimistic the same can happen this year, despite the ongoing pandemic.

It’s never too early to get some publicity for your efforts so do please email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk with your plans for good causes in 2022.

In the meantime, we salute those fund-raising right up to the festive period.

Redbrik Foundation: South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire agency Redbrik has donated nearly £10,000 to six local charities.

Fairplay, St. Luke’s Hospice Sheffield, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Children’s Hospital Charity, Ashgate Hospice and Paces will benefit from the funds raised through the Redbrik Foundation.

The Redbrik Foundation was set up in 2020 to help children, young people, the elderly and those with disabilities in the Sheffield and Chesterfield areas.

It has organised virtual events, and challenges and donations of Christmas presents to Sheffield Children’s Hospital two years running so that every patient receives a gift during the festive season.

The team tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in 2021, raising over £4,000, and held the very first - and very successful - Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10k in October. In addition, donations were raised through a match funding initiative whereby clients of Redbrik are given the option to donate £25 to the Foundation, which the company then matches.

Redbrik Foundation Trustee, David Cooper, comments: “One hundred per cent of all money raised is donated back out into the community to support the incredible work these organisations carry out every day. Rather than have a changing list of annual charity partners, we’ve decided instead that we’d rather have an ever-growing list of amazing charities to support, so watch this space.”

Crisis: Mortgage specialist Vida has raised over £20,000 as part of a Christmas campaign for its charity partner Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.

The lender donated £29.06 for every application received during December in a bid to ensure no one has to spend Christmas homeless and alone. This comes after Vida’s first Alternative Marathon event earlier in 2021.

This fundraising effort is part of a wider commitment Vida has made to Crisis.

It has pledged to donate at least £150,000 to Crisis across three years, while a circle of charity champions in the business seek to inspire employees, intermediary partners, and customers to take action to help end homelessness across the UK.
