Agents Do Charity - and it’s not just the London Marathon this weekend…

Hello and welcome to the end of the week - another opportunity to see how our industry is doing great work for good causes.

It’s London Marathon weekend at last, but our intrepid fund-raisers this week are using other events and ways to extract a little cash for charity.

If you want to be featured here next week, just drop an email to press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll do the rest.

Copafeel - The Beresfords marketing team braved the heights of the O2 climbing over the top of the famous 52-metre-high arena, in order to raise awareness and funds for cancer charity – CoppaFeel.

After a difficult year, the Beresfords team decided to fundraise for CoppaFeel! because they understand the importance of encouraging individuals to get to know and check their bodies regularly. Sadly, we all know someone whose been affected by cancer so it’s a cause close to many.

Nicki Treffers, Beresfords’ marketing and new business director, completed the climb alongside the rest of her team Sunita Glover, Lizzy Drewett and Megan Fleming.

Nicki says: “It was a fantastic day climbing the O2 with the team and great to support such a worthwhile cause. CoppaFeel is an incredibly important charity and one which has helped so many people, male and female”.

CoppaFeel!’s mission is to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and correctly and the charity aims to achieve this by encouraging everyone to check their breasts and pecs regularly from a young age, educate individuals on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and empower you to seek advice from a doctor if symptoms persist.

Donations can still be made via a Just Giving page here.

AudioActive, Care For Veterans, Wadars: Family-run West Sussex estate agent, Michael Jones and Company, has announced three local charities as their fundraising partners over the next year.

Michael Jones is celebrating its 30th anniversary and to mark this milestone, will be giving back to their community by supporting AudioActive (Music & Social Hub opening in the old Dorothy Perkins store in early 2022), Care for Veterans (Ex-service charity), and Wadars, Animal Rescue.

Michael Jones has pledged to donate £10,000 across the charities and will now begin to announce fundraising activities which will enable the charities to continue their valuable work.

Mike Jones, group chief executive, says: "Staying firmly rooted in our hometown for so many years has allowed us to concentrate our support on the Worthing community by donating to charitable causes and sponsoring local people and organisations.

In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we want to continue that tradition but take it further. We are thrilled to work with these three fantastic local organisations and look forward to seeing how we will all come together as a community and support them.

We have some great fundraising events planned over the next several months, and we’d like to encourage as many of you to get involved as possible. We want to support the charities in the same way our customers have supported us over the last three decades.”
