New market appraisal guides go live on OnTheMarket

OnTheMarket’s new market appraisal guides - first announced some months ago - have this morning gone live.

In June OTM announced a partnership with data consultancy Sprift, to produce guides which include title plans, plot sizes, available broadband performance and mobile coverage, flood risk rating, Council Tax banding and costs, Listed status or relevant Conservation Area, Tree Preservation Orders and property EPCs, together with Unique Property Reference Number and Land Registry data.

Part of the service is free to members although the full version involves a subscription.

OTM chief executive Jason Tebb says: “I’ve spoken to literally hundreds of agents over the past few months, having held dozens of Town Halls since the beginning of this year, as well as meeting with agency owners from across the UK.

“It’s been clear from these conversations that improving our Market Appraisal Guides has been a priority … We believe that our new and improved Market Appraisal Guides will prove to be a valuable tool for our agents to support them in their conversations with vendors which will give them a competitive edge as they start to build their pipelines going into the latter half of the year.”

Matt Gilpin, Sprift chief executive, adds: “[The] guides have been in test for some time, as we wanted to ensure that the integration would be as seamless as possible before it was released. We’re now very pleased to see this first phase of our partnership pushed live.

Jason Tebb concludes: “As a business, our vision is to provide ‘best in class’ business solutions for agents, either included in their monthly fee or at a significantly reduced cost using our considerable buying power and network of industry suppliers, with our partnership with Sprift being the first part of that approach. However, there’s more to come, and I’m really looking forward to sharing details very soon.”

I sat on one of his Town Halls in April and he explicitly promised to improve the OTM MAG. True to his word, he’s delivered. Well done Jason.
