Conversion rates between portals - latest figures just released

PropTech platform Agent Response has just released its latest league table for conversion stats relating to the first two weeks of August, and covering the three largest portals.

On sales, all three were relatively close. The most successful was OnTheMarket with 35.44 per cent conversion rate, following closely by Rightmove on 34.8 per cent and Zoopla on 30.77 per cent.

On lettings the order was different. Rightmove came top with 32.88 per cent while Zoopla had 27.82 per cent and OnTheMarket only 19.1 per cent.


A month ago Agent Response reported that its July figures for portals were actually dwarfed by agents’ own website conversion rates, which it says were - for that month - a remarkable 82.7 per cent.



Agent Response describes itself as a PropTech service “fitting between the portals and agents’ CRMs” to pre-qualify leads.

    Great to have tangible stats to combat the '50% of leads are never contacted' which has been the claim used by a certain portal to justify its spiralling costs (suggesting it's agents not extracting value rather than the portal not delivering value). Would be fascinating to genuinely understand the actual revenue generation by each portal
