First to UK Sotheby’s International Realty, which has announced two senior promotions.

Shereen Malik-Akhtar, who joined the agency in 2013, has now been promoted to head of central London sales. “I am a true veteran of the brand having worked for the business for over eight years. I am very excited for the next phase of growth across London over the coming years and hope to see the business through the next 10 years” she says.

And Lee Koffman - joined UK Sotheby’s International Realty in 2018 having previously worked for boutique agency Aston Chase for 13 years - is now head of north and north west London sales. “It’s been extremely rewarding to create a strong presence in NW London for such a well-respected global brand and to have exceeded all targets as we navigated our way through the restrictions of Covid-19” he adds.

Online agency Yopa has jobs news too.

Simon Elliott has been appointed regional director for East Anglia, whilst Isaac Bull takes over as regional director for the South East. Simon has been at Spicerhaart since 1996, including almost eight years as regional partner and the past year as partnership director.

His take on the new role is: “My focus will be to grow Yopa’s market share further, through the coaching, mentoring and development of each and every member of my team, while combining online technology with local knowledge and expertise to ensure the buying and selling process is a simple and positive customer experience.”

Isaac has had senior stints at Hamptons, haart, Barnard Marcus and, most recently, three years at Purplebricks, where he held the positions of regional director and then divisional lettings director. “Next year will mark 20 years as an estate agent for me, and I’ve worked for some of the biggest corporate and independent brands in the industry, as well as running my own business” he comments.

At Connells, Chris Beckwith - who recently quit as Purplebricks’ chief sales officer after less than six weeks in the role - is a nw recruit as lettings managing director, responsible for lettings in Barnard Marcus and Connells and Sequence lettings in the southern region.

Meanwhile Connells has promoted Mark Chatterton to become group lettings operations director - in charge of the combined Connells and Countrywide back office functions - and Countrywide compliance chief Andrew Culverwell has been made group lettings technical director.

 

 

Now to Bristol where local property specialist Andrew Simmonds has joined Parker’s Estate Agents in North Somerset as a board director.

Andrew, a RICS associate, has worked in the residential sector since 2005, most recently worked with developers on sales strategies for new build homes.

“My aim is to build upon the already strong reputation that Parker’s has built, since it was founded by Tim Parker in 1989 and give local people the service they need and deserve” he says.

Finally this week, property data PropTech firm Sprift has appointed Julian Pienaar as chief finance officer - he previously worked for Associated ~British Goods. 

He says: “Already Sprift data is having a real impact on huge swathes of the market. We have ambitious plans, and it is going to be very interesting seeing this all coming together.”
