Free to list portal Residential People has launched a filter allowing users to sort properties by EPC rating.
The new ‘Energy Efficiency Class’ filter by Residential People allows property seekers to specify which level of energy efficiency they would like in their home, and view only those properties that match their chosen category.
Residential People says most other portals merely display the EPC on a property-by-property basis, rather than classifying them by rating.
Portal director Christopher May says: “During the pandemic, we have all spent more time indoors than we’d normally do and as such, many of us are finding that our energy bills are subsequently skyrocketing as a result.
“While there are several companies out there that can help property owners and renters save money on their existing bills, we found that there are very few resources in place to help property hunters make informed energy-related decisions before being enticed or committed to a purchase.”
