New Propertymark chief reveals Digital Expansion Programme

Industry trade body Propertymark has unveiled a digital expansion programme.

A statement from the organisation says this initiative shows new chief executive Nathan Emerson pushing ahead with his plans for Propertymark to excel as the industry pioneer in the digital arena.

The body has just launched a new website with a CRM system which it boasts “will revolutionise how members interact with the organisation.”

Calling it “an easier and more advanced tool” than before, the site will enable members to interact, engage and train.

“The site brings information from all previous divisional sites together in a powerful, effective digital space. The navigation is now as intuitive as possible and users will be able to filter resources and articles to find content relevant to their division, along with topics of interest” says the statement.

And resulting from the pandemic, there is also to be a “market-leading remote invigilation system” for agent members to take exams without going to a test centre.

Propertymark has also introduced a full video suite at Arbon House in order to deliver the production of high-quality video content. Propertymark says the decision was to support its members to feel connected throughout restrictions, and that the suite will also be used to develop the future live streaming of regional meetings and events for people who are unable to physically attend.

Nathan Emerson says: “We know how important it is to not just listen to our membership, but to actually deliver. These changes within Propertymark are a clear case of action and not empty words.

“We want our members to know that they are part of an industry leading body, and these changes prove we will adapt and evolve to remain ahead in unpredictable or changing environments.  We are unrelentingly committed to our members, upholding reputation, providing stability, and giving them results. Members will continue to be at the forefront of everything we do.”

Nathan Emerson has put Propertymark on a new and enlightened digital pathway, that will enhance the value to its membership. His inclusive and listening policy, together with his insight into traditional agency, and the needs of agents to adapt to a less analogue age, where clients are digital natives expecting service at a faster rate, and via multi-channels, is winning hearts and minds.

    It is a toothless organisation

it has been toothless alas for many years. My hope is that it finds some teeth and starts to represent its membership and the industry at large in a far more effective way. Only time will tell but if it doesn't over the next 12/24 months then I fear it may become toast
