Channel 4 TV presenter joins agency hoping to rival Purplebricks

A Channel 4 property TV presenter is to become an estate agent.

Kerr Drummond, who hosts Coast vs Country, has joined the Hortons agency to launch the agency in Warwickshire; he will be working across Leamington Spa, Warwick and Rugby, focusing on sales, and already has a number of new listings coming to the market.

Drummond has been a regular face on British TV since first appearing on Kitchen SOS in 2012 and has over 100 episodes of property shows to his credit.

Agency chief executive Adam Horton says “We’re delighted to have Kerr join our team. His wealth of experience in the property sector, his eye for design, marketing and his presenting background will add massive value for our vendors.”

Drummond himself adds: “I’m very excited to be joining Hortons and to be launching the agency in my home county of Warwickshire.

“Hortons is a modern, service-driven agency that believes in utilising the latest tech and marketing tools to achieve the best possible sale price for our customers. I feel like I’m joining the company at a very exciting time, the industry has changed immeasurably over the last few years and companies like Hortons are leading the way.”

Hortons is a hybrid agency which set a target of rivalling Purplebricks when it launched in the East Midlands three years ago.

In 2020 Hortons won substantial funding from private investment syndicate Dunelm Partners to help achieve a target of recruiting 25 agents by mid-2021.

The agency says it’s continuing what it calls ”an aggressive expansion programme across the East and West Midlands” attracting “a number of high-profile agents to join the company.”
