A hybrid agency which until now has been active only in London is launching new hubs in Manchester and Brighton.
Agent & Homes, which celebrated its third anniversary last month, was one of the leading hybrids offering serviced-office style back up to self-employed agents operating under their brand.
The agency now has 40 agents but has unveiled an ambitious growth programme.
Founder Rollo Miles, who formerly worked for John D Wood and Marsh & Parsons, says his firm is creating a “full circle back to traditional estate agency” backed up by modern tech and freedom for agents to make decisions on their own.
The firm, currently headquartered in Notting Hill, is planning to expand further across the capital and has set its sights on having an Agent & Homes associate operating in every London postcode.
This is in addition to expansion outside of London; it is seeking new agents but says selecting the right candidates is key.
"Our agents have to want to be more than just agents and not be spoon-fed, but stand up and be proud and go out there and shout about themselves and how great they are” explains Miles.
He believes agents should be seen on a par with solicitors, accountants, mortgage advisers, doctors and architects.
"We don’t want our agents to be referred to as second-hand car dealers or people who only care about the deal, this is what we are trying to change. The mindset of how people perceive estate agents is wrong."
Miles says that agents working under the Agent & Homes brand offer their clients a service for life where they are the only point of contact from instruction to completion, one person dealing with all aspects of the sale or let from start to finish.
"With our new management and admin team, we are ready to sign up great agents all over the country and this is what we are all super excited about."
He says Agent & Homes' differential is that it’s a company built by agents for agents, offering admin support, tech tools, marketing, branding and more.
"We are not a pyramid scheme which mean our agents don’t earn fees off people they refer to us, we just don’t believe in this," says Miles.
"We want agents to join us because of who we are and what we stand for, not because of hidden incentives. We want to hear from agents who are thinking of taking their next move after reaching the natural ceiling in their current role” he concludes.
