Rightmove and Zoopla have both made PropTech announcements as the scramble to retain and win agents continues.
Rightmove’s draw-a-search tool has been rebuilt and integrated into the property search flow, leading to a 37 per cent jump in people creating bespoke search areas since early March.
The draw-a-search update leads on from Rightmove’s overhaul of its property details page last year, which it says has increased the amount of time spent by home-hunters looking at each property by 70 per cent.
Other updates in recent weeks include integrating the stamp duty calculator into the property details, the insertion of adverts in property details for the controversial Modern Method of Auction, and on the lettings side changes to the appointment booking tool, Viewings Manager, based on feedback from agents.
Meanwhile Zoopla has acquired Yourkeys, a property software service for housebuilders.
The service provides buyer and seller onboarding and sales progression tools for housebuilders via a reservation-to-completion software platform integrated with all of the major housebuilder CRMs.
Yourkeys launched in 2018 and has 25 housebuilder and estate agent clients including Bewley, Davidsons, JLL, London Square and Hill.

We at Proptech-PR are one of their biggest advocates since having a cup of builder's tea with Craig Massey in October 2019, their tech, second to none, topflight team and execution.
Every market goes through a bit of consolidation, Proptech won't be any different. Interestingly the strategies of the two vary every so slightly. One is interested in enabling owners to move more often the other interested in "serious sellers", whilst Boomin wants to help people become sellers before they had thought about moving... All require stronger customer engagement...
