Connells’ spending spree goes on with another new acquisition

Connells has bought a small three-branch family-run agency to sit within Sequence - Connells' third acquisition in recent weeks.

Holroyds - bought for an undisclosed sum - covers the Baildon, Keithley and Bingley areas of Yorkshire, where Connells and Sequence have not had branches to date.

Founded in 2015 by mother and son team Julie and Chris Holroyd, the agency’s staff and branding will remain.

“Julie and I are thrilled to be joining the team,” says Chris Holroyd.

“This significantly propels our offering to another level for both our current clients and new, as well as keeping our family-run feel which has served our clients so well over the last six years.

“We can’t wait to get started and look forward to growing the Holroyds brand over the years to come. This is also a fantastic opportunity for our brilliant team who will now have additional career opportunities.”

Connells formally completed on its acquisition of Countrywide earlier this week; it's also recently bought Derbyshire-based Hall & Benson, which has five branches.

Sequence divisional manager Chris Rosindale says of this latest purchase: “This acquisition demonstrates our continued commitment to our high street operations, and I know that it will bring about our shared success, provide additional career opportunities, and allow both brands to strengthen their presence in this active market.”
