Boris in a slump? Things WILL get better…

Every year we at EAT are impressed by the pleasingly political festive cards sent out by the STANLEY Chelsea agency - and 2021 is no different.

Patrick Bullick, managing director and a former Propertymark big cheese, explains the background to this year’s masterpiece.

“We have taken inspiration from the first e-card we did back in 2008, where I correctly called the bottom of the Central London property market after the big financial crash” he tells us.

“In the last few years, we have had Bothersome Brexit and Corona Chaos and as a consequence the Central London property market has been significantly weaker than some other world cities, and latterly the rest of the country.

“In 2022: Corona Chaos will pass. London will open up again. Foreign investors will return. Post-Brexit trade deals will take effect. The City of London financial sector will adapt and flourish again.

“For all these reasons and more, at Christmas 2021, I am sticking my neck out again and predicting the Central London property market will recover strongly from this low point.”

We agree Patrick and send our thanks for your excellent card - we’re sharing it below with our readers.

And a reminder...tomorrow we return with more estate agents' office decorations as Christmas gets ever-closer...

I love it. But.......just remember SDLT is back in full swing!! I can't see the top end of the market in buoyant mode until this huge ludicrous TAX ON HOMES (modern trendy word) is "reformed". Remember SDLT was 1% for decades, then Chancellor George Osbourne's crazy increases.
