Boomin more innovative and forward thinking than rivals - claim

The chair of the strategic board of fledgling Boomin says most existing portals are merely operating like digital newspapers with listings, whereas her service is more innovative and forward-thinking.

In a video interview exclusively for Estate Agent Today, Sarah Edmundson - chair of Boomin’s strategic board - says her team is attempting to make the new service “more of an eco-system where consumers can interact with property.” This in turn would allow agents to “get opportunities so much earlier” than via existing portals.

She says: “What is incredible is how strong the interest has been from forward-looking agents.”

Edmundson says Boomin began life at the start of April with more agent members than any previous portal, and has added 50 per cent more in the intervening eight months, to take the total to “nearing 8,000”.

The interview is eight minutes long and conducted by Nat Daniels, chief executive of Angels Media, published of EAT.

'Forward-looking agents' don't need Boomin. A 'forward-looking agent' has already created an eco-system within their own database and nurturing all contacts.

I like Boomin - and what they are doing, they are not a digital billboard, like other portals, they are a facilitator platform, improving the UX for the public and agents - who want to do property. Boomin are the front runner in this sector. Creating efficiences, growth and profit for all stakeholders.

Not directly relating to Boomin but..
Has anyone else noticed this, where are the Purplebricks stories over the last two weeks?
10 stories on PIE in two weeks up to 14th, 8 on EAT in that period then nothing, not one.
It’s like someone switched off the tap of purple scandal and mis-management with a massive High Court Injunction.
Obviously this can’t be confirmed under the terms of any such injunction but the continued lack of daily PB stories tells us all that solicitors in the Midlands have been earning their Christmas bonuses this month.
    Any thoughts?
