UK PropTech start-ups sought for international funding programme

The scheme behind two of this country’s most successful PropTech start-ups is marking what it calls a successful first year.

REACH UK - which has its earliest roots in the United States, working with that country’s National Association of Realtors - is currently the UK’s only estate agent-backed funding programme for PropTech start-ups.

In just 12 months it’s assisted Sprift and Offr, which have boomed as a result of input from the REACH UK programme, run in this country by Propertymark.

REACH says its UK mission is to help the property industry navigate through the world of technology by selecting the best scale-ups and launching them into the marketplace; now work has started on recruiting possible entries to the 2022 cohort.

“As an organisation that puts all agents at the centre of what we do, we’re proud to back the 2022 REACH UK scale-up program, which looks to bring out the very best of the PropTech field” says Nathan Emerson, the Propertymark chief executive.

“With the world of an agent constantly evolving, we’re excited to see what the next group of innovative companies brings to the table in order to align the latest technology with the needs of agents, buyers and renters.”

Applications for REACH UK 2022 will be accepted until December 17.

The programme kicks off in March 2022 and will run for up to nine months offering a select group of entrepreneurs access to a worldwide network of peers, mentors, and investors in conjunction with its sister programs in the US, Australia and Canada.

“We are extremely proud of the success of the inaugural REACH UK program and the calibre of innovation we helped bring to the global stage. We are excited to continue working with companies that are not only providing immense value to the real estate industry globally but powering further innovation in the market with evolving societal and environmental requirements” explains Valentina Shegoyan, managing partner of REACH UK.
