Agency closes office after staff contract Coronavirus

Members of staff at an estate agency branch in the Midlands tested positive for Coronavirus in consecutive weeks, triggering a temporary closure.

Two employees at Your Move in Nottingham city centre - a branch operated by franchisee National Home Move - were affected; both were alone when they identified the symptoms.

Two other members of staff chose to self-isolate following the incidents, although neither tested positive.

The office was temporarily closed for a deep clean, and is now open again.

Regional director Paul Neary says: “We can confirm that two members of staff have tested positive for the Coronavirus on on the 13th and 21st January respectively.

"Both, on identifying their symptoms, were working in branch on their own and immediately gained a test and self-isolated. The branch was temporarily shut for a deep clean and has since reopened.

"Two remaining members of staff had tests on 14th January and chose to self-isolate. Neither tested positive.

"In view of the circumstances the branch was temporarily closed for a deep clean to be conducted and customers supported remotely by a neighbouring branch and by staff who were working from home.

"We confirm that the branch is now open and continues to operate a Covid-19 secure environment, with regular cleaning and monitoring in place to ensure full adherence to all government guidelines, with appointment only visits allowed.“
