Forty year-old regional agency reveals new name and branding

A North East agency, which first opened in 1977, has revealed a new identity with a new name and fresh branding.

Thirlwells will now be known as Clarke Munro after the agency was officially relaunched earlier this month.

The agency, which has two branches in Middlesbrough and Billingham and employs over 20 staff, was originally founded by Margaret and Keith Thirlwell.

It was taken over by Wendy Clarke and Nicola Munro in 2004 and they have now put their names to the business.

The relaunch was marked by Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen and included a virtual celebration held on Facebook Live.

Clarke Munro also has a new logo and branding, which you can see on its website here.

Speaking to The Northern Echo, Wendy Clarke said: "We’re proud of the Thirlwells legacy, but we felt the brand had become a little tired; 20 years since the last revamp, it needed a bit of a facelift."

"Gone are the days of an estate agency on every corner. We’re concentrating on our two super branches in Middlesbrough and Billingham, where we have staff with 200 years of combined service all sharing ideas and best practice."
