Another US agency enters UK market with plan for 100 agents

Another US real estate agency wants to follow Keller Williams, Berkshire Hathaway and others by opening in the United Kingdom.

Nest Seekers International calls itself “a game changing firm” and has been the subject of TV reality property shows including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The World’s Most Luxurious Homes.

The agency has just opened offices at Moorgate in London and in central Manchester and has a team of “experienced real estate agents selling some of the most spectacular homes in the UK” according to a launch statement.

It is a commission-only agency but individual brokers are incentivised to obtain higher fees.

Instructions currently include a £27m Grade II listed house in Knightsbridge, a bespoke Victorian warehouse loft conversion at Nine Elms, and properties in Mayfair, Chelsea, the Wentworth Estate in Surrey and in Cheshire.

Nest Seekers is set to open an office in Dublin later this year.

“The model provides unmatched support, marketing, and technology to develop our agents as individual brands and create new, independent rock stars of real estate. Fuelled by a self-driving entrepreneurial spirit and powered by Nest Seekers, our agents can improve their real estate business without limits, offering a holistic service that is client focussed” according to Daniel McPeake, managing director of the company’s European operation.

“By 2021, we want to have a team of over 100 agents working across the UK … Nest Seekers is a trailblazing firm built on the power of new ideas, cutting edge technology and innovation. We hope to bridge the gap between the US and the UK property markets and establish its position as the world’s premier real estate firm here in the UK too.”

Nest Seekers was established by American Eddie Shapiro in 2001 and currently has over 1,000 agents and personnel across 25 offices.

“Expansion into the UK and European markets was an obvious choice, the firm brings with it over two decades of experience, representing the world’s most iconic residences and luxurious projects, as well as global recognition through real estate media” explains Shapiro.

“We are on the lookout for motivated agents across the UK to join our growing team in representing the most luxurious properties.”

In a shifting world such as this, we definitely need a game changing firm. The UK has all it takes to be a world leading property market, the rest is on us. ;)

The UK property market needs a shake up. Agents in the UK work very hard and offer a great service but they need to understand the benefits of working together and also being able to represent a buyer. The UK MLS is finally in beta-testing. These models will work brilliantly on the MLS and bring a whole new level of potential to the UK consumers and buyers

U.S. style BS doesn't cut it in the U.K.

What specifically is 'game changing' about this?

They have been in London quite a while. All that's possibly new is the hot desking they have taken from Spaces at 30 Moorgate.
