Women In Residential Property - group grows during lockdown

The networking organisation Women in Residential Property has grown to over 300 members - its highest ever total.

Launched three years ago by Emma Vigus, managing director of PropTech platform mio, WIRP is designed to appeal to women working across the residential transaction spectrum from estate agency through to surveying and mortgage lending.

“Growth in our membership highlights the value of good quality, informed dialogue between those involved in residential property transactions and underlines the importance of networking even when face to face meetings aren’t possible” says Vigus, who chairs the organisation.

Attendees at recent Zoom meetings have welcomed the new format. Hilary Grayson, director of surveying services at SAVA and long term WIRP supporter, comments: “I’ve said it before, but this is probably the best networking group I’ve been involved in.”

The next WIRP Zoom meeting is on September 2 at 4pm with speakers including Beth Rudolf, director of delivery at the Conveyancing Association; Nigel Walley, project lead at Chimni and Sally Holdway of Teal Legal.

There’s more information on that event and the group here.
