Free-to-list portal secures record visits in bid to rival Rightmove and Co

OneDome, which operates two free-to-list property listing sites, says it’s had a record month as it strives to build an alternative to pay-to-list portals.

During July - the figures just made available - both the OneDome and Nethouseprices websites recorded a combined 1.7m unique monthly visitors, up from 1.5m in June.

During last month the group's websites also generated 170,000 buyer and tenant leads for agents and also recently started to generate vendor leads.

It says strong activity levels have been down to a combination of the stamp duty holiday and the continued release of pent-up demand following lockdown.

The group's number of sign-ups also remains strong, with over 700 new branches currently set to join. A statement says: “Due to the demand, the company has doubled the size of its telesales and onboarding team to respond quicker to agents’ requests.”

Four weeks ago OneDome released a list of High Street agencies that had signed up to its free-to-list offering - one was At Home Estate and Letting Agency, leader of the Boycott Rightmove Group.

Other high profile agencies signed up by OneDome include Andrews Property Group, Arun Estates, Martyn Gerrard and all 90-plus branches of Winkworth.

The portal group expects traffic for August to remain in line with July, although it says the hottest weather days saw a fall off in hits.

OneDome Group says its aim is to offer agents between two to three extra valuation appointments per branch, per month by early 2021.

"In September, we will announce a list of innovative products for the market with an aim to simplify the homebuying process for consumers, while making agents more revenue” says Ismayil.

Have already checked with an EA who I may have used to list.

No need now as my free listing along with free photos and floor plan is there for all to see on the major web portals.

    He showed me my listing.

Have discussed using him if I can't sell.
    But why bother?
It will just be pricing that would be the issue.
I can adjust that with free.co.UK

As a lay person I would like to know that in the face of free listing now available to anyone why I should use a commission based EA rather than listing myself which obviously I can now do for FREE?

Post the links here so we can see your story checks out.

    What you DON'T believe me!?
No I'm fine knowing my property is available for anyone to see if they search the major web portals.

Of course since I viewed it I suppose it could have been taken down!
I shall have to check periodically won't I!?
