TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Agents Do Charity - what we'd give for a mud bath!

Hello and welcome to Agents Do Charity, a weekly round-up of news as the industry continues fund-raising even in these challenging (and rather hot) times.

This week we have a special message from the industry’s own charity, Agents Giving, but if you are embarking on any fund-raising and want to share the good news with other agents, do please email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk with the details.

In the meantime, stay cool. Now….where’s my mud-pack?

Agents Giving: Agents and suppliers are returning to the mud this year for the Agents Giving Love Mud Challenge powered by Nuclear Races.

Postponed from May, this will be the third year Agents Giving are challenging the property industry to get outdoors and get muddy in aid of charity on Sunday October 4 at Brentwood in Essex.

The 2019 winners Veco by Eurolink exceeded their own expectations around the course with a winning time of 2 hours 15 minutes closely followed by Thomas Morris Estate Agents and Drivers & Norris.

Chris Reile, head of CRM, sales and marketing at Veco comments: “It was a fantastic day out for the whole family, it was great to see just how many participants from our industry turned out, all to raise money for a worthwhile cause. The funny thing was we didn’t realise it was actually going to be that muddy! We laughed a lot, got very wet and muddy and we can’t wait for October”.

The challenge is a 7km gritty and muddy obstacle race to test all levels of fitness so everyone can take part.

The obstacles include the death slide, zip–lines and gorilla bars - you choose how many and which obstacles your team take on.

This is tough enough to be very challenging but also achievable and great fun, the team spirit on the day is amazing. The kids can also take part in the Rookie Race which also runs throughout the weekend.

You can enter teams of four - only teams of four allowed to go together around the course - but you can enter more than one team of four per company.

The earlier you sign up the easier it will be and the best thing about it all is you can do it together as a team.

You can follow the latest Love Mud news and announcement of teams as they sign up at #AgentsLoveMudChallenge.

All fitness abilities can enter, minimum age to take part is 13 years old, fees are £250 per person which includes entry fees and your fundraising for Agents Giving to be completed by October 4. Online entry deposit required at time of booking.
