TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Property Jobs Today - more new appointments in our industry

Hello and welcome to another week. We’re more than aware that it’s a challenging time for our industry as for most others, so jobs news is not always good news.

However, we’re always happy to share new appointments, so please drop us a line at press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll let the industry know.

First off, Barnard Marcus’ New Homes division has appointed Laura Griffith as sales manager for the South West London area.

With 14 years agency experience, Laura joined the firm in 2009 and quickly became branch lettings manager in South Croydon, achieving both top negotiator and top branch during this time.

Before re-joining the company this year, Laura held several prominent positions and accomplished a number of successes within the industry, including setting up her own business.

“I now have the opportunity to take the next step in my new homes journey and learn from the best. Activity has been high since returning at the end of May and new homes have been at the forefront, especially with the Help to Buy Scheme still in place, showing just how crucial and in demand this area of the business is” she says.

Now to Nottinghamshire where local agency Gascoines has strengthened its team with the appointment of two new starters, Jess Mitchell and Nick Lawton

Jess joins as office manager of the Southwell branch and is responsible for the day to day running of the office and Nick has re-joined the team, after six years working on other projects, as a new homes and land development consultant.

Nick says: “Having previously worked at Gascoines for a number of years, before leaving in 2014 to set up my own company dealing in antiques, and the opportunity to return was too good to pass.”

And Jess adds: “The team are fantastic, and everyone has pulled together during these challenging times to achieve some great results. I’m really passionate about customer service and hope to lead by example by going the extra mile for our clients.”

Let’s head to the Brighton seaside where Sawyer & Co has named Simon Lemcke as sales director.

Simon, who will be primarily based in the Hove office, says: “It is an ambitious and growing independent estate agents, whose values are very much aligned with my own. I am excited to have the opportunity to play my part in contributing to their successes in the future.”
