Anti-Rightmove agencies sign up to free-to-list challenger portal

OneDome has released a list of High Street agencies that have signed up to its free-to-list portal and sister website Nethouseprices  - including two prominent opponents of Rightmove.

One is Dreamview Estates, led by veteran London agent Murray Lee; the other is At Home Estate and Letting Agency, leader of the Boycott Rightmove Group.

Other high profile agencies signed up by OneDome include Andrews Property Group, Arun Estates, Martyn Gerrard and all 90-plus branches of Winkworth.

The portal says some 2,000 branches have signed up “over the last few months”.

Meanwhile across its two websites the OneDome Group says it received 1.5m unique monthly visitors in June, a new record. And its traffic for July is significantly higher still, “suggesting the record will be broken again this month” the company says.

The two sites now generate in excess of 170,000 monthly leads for agents.

“We are delighted to be working with some of the best agents in the country and continue fulfilling our promise to agents of driving portal costs down while generating a significant volume of leads. We are humbled by the positive response we have seen from the industry” says OneDome founder and chief executive Babek Ismayil.

“Our goal for the next few months is to equip our agents, who support our business, with free benefits and the best technology tools to help them win more business and stand out from the competition” he adds.

“We will achieve this by launching new and exciting products as well as by partnering with innovative PropTech firms, like Sprift, and integrating their products to OneDome Pro, our platform for professionals. More free benefits to come shortly.”

OneDome emphasises that it is the only platform to guarantee agents a 100-year free-to-list contract; it generates revenue “by working with agents to facilitate home moves and offers an optional profit share agreement.”

*The most recent analysis of Rightmove, conducted by investment bank UBS, says it has lost around four per cent of its agency membership this year - actually much the same as Zoopla, according to UBS. Rightmove will be giving a trading update including latest agency membership figures tomorrow week, Friday August 7.

Poll: Will Rightmove lose a significant number of agency branches this year - say 10%?
