Say No To Rightmove thanks Zoopla and OnTheMarket for ‘market freedom’

The Say No To Rightmove campaign has taken the unusual step of thanking the other rival portals - Zoopla, OnTheMarket and the free to list sites - for “creating a freer market place” in the property space.

SNTR campaign leader Rob Sargent, head of the Acorn group of agencies, says in a newly-released thank you video to his supporters that the rival portals have all worked to create a fairer and freer market.

In addition he thanks the trade press, agency groups and individual agents for the support they have given to a campaign which he says is “all about galvanising our industry.”

In the 160 second video Sargent also takes the opportunity to remind Rightmove that “the agencies you often leverage the hardest are often the smallest and the least well diversified” and that the lead portal will have to focus its efforts on trying to retain their long-term custom.

“While we wait to understand what Rightmove proposes for the coming weeks, months and years ahead, I ask all agents to pull together and support our campaign by registering on www.saynotorightmove.co.uk” he continues.
