The biggest awards for the agency sector - The ESTAS - will now be a virtual event on Friday July 3, with free access to anyone online.
The traditional event should have been held with some 1,000 attendees at a London hotel last Friday but for obvious safety reasons could not go ahead.
Founder of The ESTAS Group Simon Brown explains: “We’ve thought long and hard about holding a postponed live event and we were ready to announce a new date in November. However having monitored the news very closely it’s become apparent that even as lockdown is eased large gatherings – especially indoor events – will not be allowed any time soon.
“Social distancing is clearly going to be with us for many months to come and will be one of the governments priorities as we head into the winter months once again.”
“We’ve also spoken to many clients over recent weeks and we are acutely aware of how eager firms are to find out if they’ won an ESTA for 2020. There’s never been a more important time for agencies, mortgage advisors and suppliers to be recognised for the superb customer service they deliver to their clients.
“Having the status of an ESTAS Winner in 2020 will be invaluable for firms and provide a fantastic marketing message for the rest of the year and we don’t want anyone to miss out on any opportunity to win new business.”
The virtual ESTAS award ceremony, sponsored by Zoopla, will therefore be had on Friday July 3 at 4pm and once again Phil Spencer will be the master of ceremonies.
