Next we have an offer from PropTech firm Canopy allowing letting agents to use its tenant screening service free of charge.

This will be with immediate effect for existing clients and for the first three months for new clients.

Canopy's instant tenant screening service, powered by Experian and Open Banking Data, is already free, but the more comprehensive referencing option - usually charged at £3 - is now free too.

Letting Agents can sign-up with Canopy and access the free Tenant referencing service until June 30 - however, this is subject to the agents signing up to an 18-month contract. Importantly, agents can cancel the contract at anytime by giving three months’ notice, if they are unhappy with the referencing product and or Canopy service.

Next up is ePropservices, which has partnered with Zoopla to co-fund a six-month free deal available exclusively to members of The Guild and to Fine & Country licensees.

The Zoopla deal is an enhancement to the packages that both The Guild and Fine & Country announced last week, including half price membership fees for six months for the Guild.

Jon Cooke, executive director of epropservices, says: “The need to act now is clear, as evidenced by the Government’s rescue package, and so we have built upon our strong relationship with Zoopla and created a package that will have a genuine impact on our Members’ and Licensees’ businesses over the next six months.

“For Members and Licensees who are interested in activating this opportunity, please get in touch with your Guild or Fine & Country representative as soon as possible.”

The offer will be available until the end of April and will run for six months from May 1.

Now help specifically for agents with five or fewer branches.

TwentyEA is to offer these agents access to its marketing platform Prospect from April 1 until June 30 NEXT year - so 14 months in all.

Katy Billany, sales director at TwentyEA, says: “This offer is made to all estate agency brands with less than five branches who can, if they continue to choose so, continue to pay for similar products from competitors and still benefit from this offer.”

This is a useful help for letting agents who may not yet have told their landlords and tenants about their plans during the crisis.

The Guild of Letting and Management has prepared template letters, available free of charge from the GLM’s website, including ones for maintenance repairs, rent arrears, service provision and guidance on how to try to avoid the virus itself.

You can find that all here.

That’s all for today - more tomorrow…and in the meantime, stay safe.
