Guild agents to be advised on running businesses remotely

The Guild of Property Professionals is to give guidance to agents on how to run their businesses remotely.

Chief executive Iain McKenzie will provide the guidance on a Facebook Live session next Tuesday, March 17, on the Guild’s closed Facebook Group, which is open to members only.

The guidance will cover general points on working remotely, specific advice on how to still win business, and tips on how to use a new video tool which is expected to be available to Guild agents from March 31.

“We are currently working on a Video Viewing Tool … to market and promote listings without buyers having to visit the property in person. The tool will be an easy-to-use platform that members can use to create a professional branded viewing video of a property. These can then be shared on their social media platforms, website, portals” McKenzie explains.

“Agents will be able to use the video to conduct remote viewings, which means fewer physical viewings, saving time and protecting all parties involved. The sign of a good agent is being proactive and forward-thinking – when it comes to selling their home, movers are first and foremost looking for people they can trust and have their best interest at heart.”

The tool was originally intended for members at £495 but the Guild says “due to the latest developments on Coronavirus, the Guild will make the tool available to all its members as a special supportive measure until the end of the pandemic.”
