Hands Across The Water: In recent weeks we reported on this, a fund-raising bid by property folk across the world cycling 500 kilometres along the Mekong River in south east Asia.

Fokrul Islam, managing director of Victorstone property consultancy in London, writes: “I’m back in London now after the amazing experience with Hands Across the Water - an incredible two weeks away with all the highs and lows, excitement, exhaustion, heat, emotion and friendship that could be thrown at oneself.

In the slums of Bangkok, Hands Across the Water do some amazing work to help the underprivileged of this world. They built them houses, offer education and medical assistance and generally an overall better life for many.

Last Thursday we met this man; Uthit from the slums, a man and his family Hands has helped make life better. Uthit earns just $15 dollars a day. With that he needs to care for his wife, who has a disability, and their two children. He is a motor cycle delivery rider doing it tough on the streets of Bangkok.

His circumstances did not hold him back when it came to help out Australians in need after the bushfires, this man decided it was his time to give back. Over that devastating time in Australia, he strapped a large bottle to his delivery bike for donation deposits for the bush fire victims, and he was not alone in his generosity.

Fighting Climate Change: Newton Fallowell is launching Branching Out in 2020, a national campaign to fight climate change.

Agency managing director David Spackman says: “Newton Fallowell is investing in the purchase of hundreds of young trees that will be planted into the ground every time one of our offices ‘plants’ a Sold board. Our offices can either choose to support their local authority with any tree planting initiatives in their area or support a local charity or group that is looking to plant trees for a special project in 2020.”
