Another high end agent joins Keller Williams hybrid hub

Another former Savills agent has joined freelance agency operation Keller Williams, the second in recent weeks.

In January it was revealed that a senior ex-Savills figure - Tanya Blake, former head of country lettings - was setting up a market centre for Keller Williams. It is in Oxfordshire and is called KW Oxygen.

Now it’s been revealed that she has recruited Ryan Toms, another senior lettings figure at Savills who has more than 16 years’ experience in the industry.

“I have been welcomed by a whole new family, KW allows me to market my clients properties on a global platform but most importantly I have the time and resources to provide my clients with a personal one-to-one service, something that I have always strived to do and I believe is missing within the market” he says.

The KW UK model involves market centres - often serviced offices - where an operating principal is supported by a team leader and an administrator.

Self-employed agents working for the company retain 63 per cent of their commission at first with the rest funding the overheads and support services.

Once their overall income passes a specific threshold, agents retain 90 per cent of their commission fees with the remainder going to Keller Williams.

Blake has also recruited Paul Dunford-Brown, a former sales manager for Chancellors.

He will operate in Devon through a new company called Dunford-Brown Residential Ltd powered by Keller Williams, but will be part of the KW Oxygen team with use of the Oxfordshire market centre should he need it.

“I want to really deliver personalised service. At Dunford-Brown Residential, I will be the sole point of contact and offer my clients one-to-one support on their property decisions from valuation to completion – and hopefully beyond.”

There's huge cultural difference between Keller Williams and Savills - something isn't quite right. I can't imagine those practised in high-end agency turning themselves into door-knockers and recruiters.
