Douglas & Gordon, one of the highest profile London agency networks, is the latest signing for the yet-to-launch Boomin portal.
The agency was one of the six founding firms behind Agents Mutual, the company that went on to create OnTheMarket.
“It has always been paramount that we give our clients maximum exposure to the housing market so that we can secure them the very best results” explains James Evans, chief executive of Douglas & Gordon.
“So we are really excited to be working with Boomin, an innovative and forward thinking new property portal. We have no doubt that they will be hugely successful and D&G and our clients are looking forward to sharing in this success” he continues.
Boomin last week admitted that it would not make its original target of launching this month; however it is now scheduled to debut early in 2021.
The platform says it aims to inject “much needed competition into the portal space and to reset the balance of power within the industry, enabling all agents, large or small to prosper in a fair and transparent way.”
Boomin executive chairman Michael Bruce adds: “Douglas & Gordon share our belief in the power of people, cutting edge technology and data to transform the customer experience as well as business performance. As a forward thinking, innovative agency they are a natural partner for Boomin and we are delighted to welcome them as founder agents.”
Almost three years ago Douglas & Gordon rejoined Zoopla - a symbolic move as one of its former executive directors, veteran London agent Ed Mead, was a strident advocate of OnTheMarket.
Mead became a director of Agents’ Mutual in July 2014.
