Boomin still booming: another 10 agency sign-ups

The soon-to-launch portal Boomin - set up by the people who founded Purplebricks- has signed another 10 independent agents.

They are all London or regional operators and this is the fifth tranche of 10 agencies named as founder members of the portal.

They are Robinson Jackson; Hunter French; Bonners & Babingtons; Maslen; Peter Morgan; Penny Lane; Homes Hannells; Xact Homes; JOHNS&CO; and Rolfe East.

As with the previous signatories, this 10 will have founder member status giving them a free equity share allocation and use of the platform itself until January 2022 at no cost and obligation.

“These pioneers, who want to be at the forefront of the next generation of property portal, will become the go-to agents in their area for the unique features offered by Boomin” says a statement from the portal.

“Introducing consumers to the power of our proposition in research and testing across the whole of the UK has shown without doubt that Boomin will be an instruction winner” the statement continues.

And executive chairman Michael Bruce adds: “Our new platform is transformative and our pricing will be transparent and game changing. New features including Sneak Peak, Matchmaker and 24/7 will draw new people into the market and help to sustain transaction levels long after the current stamp duty holiday ends.”

The Boomin ‘sneak peek’ element means visitors will not only see properties listed for sale, but also those instructed but not yet marketed, those in a chain, and in some cases those currently being valued.

The ‘matchmaker’ option allows would-be buyers to name the street they wish to move to, allowing agents covering that area to proactively offer potential properties.

And the ‘24-7’ service will allow buyers and sellers to book, respectively, viewings and valuations.
