Fine & Country Foundation: The Fine & Country Foundation is having a virtual Christmas carol service for the agency industry, featuring three choirs - one from South Africa and two from the UK.

The event is on December 20 so make space in your diary now! More details coming shortly.

The foundation announced that it has reached the milestone of raising over half a million pounds in funds, supporting the work of 78 non-profit organisations, all fighting causes of homelessness and poverty around the world.

McCarthy & Stone Charitable Foundation: This developer, one of the country’s best known retirement specialists, has created a foundation to deliver a grants programme, longer-term charity partnerships and volunteering opportunities.

Each programme will be designed to deliver a range of impacts that will strengthen communities, support local charities and organisations with resource and expertise, and provide a voice to champion the role of older people in a thriving society.

John Tonkiss, the company’s chief executive and a trustee of the new foundation, says: “Covid-19 has shown that there are real challenges to overcome within local communities and sadly the most vulnerable in our society are often older people and the young.

“We are therefore delighted to be able to launch the McCarthy & Stone Foundation to help bring generations together, do more to support the lives of older people and support regeneration. We look forward to working together with our employees, partners and homeowners to have an important and lasting impact on people experiencing challenges around the country.”

The application window for grants will be confirmed in due course.

Agents Giving Acts Of Kindness Live Auction: There’s been a lot of attention for this great event, at 4pm on Friday December 4, and the industry’s charity is now showcasing on its website the items to be auctioned - you can see them here.
