A new property portal that operates a Tinder-style ‘swipe’ app is offering agents 12 months free listings.
MoveStreets operates like the dating app Tinder by aiming to match users and properties based on chosen location and preferences. Smartphone or tablet users swiping left reject un-liked properties while swiping right contacts the listing agent to arrange a viewing.
Property information provided on the app includes location, a photo gallery, description, and an interactive map.
Adam Kamani, chief executive of a Manchester-based property development company, says the buying and renting model is “long overdue an update.”
He adds: “At a time when many estate agencies struggled to navigate the growing influence of social media on the property market, our deep understanding of data, marketing and consumer needs has been instrumental in providing a new property portal to support both the customer and the agency.
“This has directly enabled us to innovate within an industry that needed to adapt, and quickly.
“We wanted to expedite the way we buy and sell houses making finding your forever home fun and exciting; homebuyers can now look for a new home the same way they look for new partners: by swiping.”
MoveStreets is currently available in London and Manchester with plans to expand nationwide throughout 2021.
It is offering agencies the opportunity to join the platform free for the first 12 months.
