Zoopla wins back one of Britain’s largest regional estate agencies

One of the country’s largest regional estate and lettings agencies has now fully rejoined Zoopla.

Yorkshire-based Dacre, Son & Hartley brings its 11 offices back onto the website, to accompany others that had already re-listed.

“We are thrilled to be back in the fold with Zoopla. As Yorkshire’s largest and most established agency brand, our clients expect the high level of exposure and number of impressive sales and lettings leads Zoopla helps us deliver” explains Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacres.

“Our return has steadily gained momentum across our network with six offices returning in 2018, culminating in the roll-out across all residential offices in our network in 2019” he adds.

”The Zoopla of today delivers tangible value, facilitating a significant volume of high-quality leads to our offices and, with their size of audience, we can confidently assure our customers that we can offer them the widest possible coverage with Zoopla, Primelocation and their partner network.”

Charlie Bryant, Managing Director of Zoopla, comments: “It’s a testament to our customer-centric approach, coupled with our broad and impactful reach in Yorkshire, that we are welcoming back Dacre, Son & Hartley to the Zoopla family, and we are excited to continue our work with their teams to deliver great results for them.

“Our agent-focussed strategy is reaping rewards for our clients; agents are consistently reporting a step change in the quality of leads they are receiving from us. In the past year … we’ve refocused all efforts on delivering an exceptional offering and experience to clients, helping agents to win more business and consumers to view more properties. We believe that we are the only choice for agents in the current market and are working hard to deliver the best value for money and offer real returns for their businesses.”

Last month Knight Frank - which in 2018 signed a five year contract to list on OTM - nonetheless committed to a three month trial of Zoopla for its 21 London branches. This news came some five years after it issued a statement ‘dropping’ the portal in order to list on OnTheMarket instead.

In recent months other agencies that were key to the start of OTM - including Kinleigh, Folkard & Hayward, Carter Jonas, Strutt & Parker and Humberts - have rejoined Zoopla.

All the returnees remain listing on OnTheMarket as well as Rightmove and now Zoopla.

This leaves Savills as the sole surviving agency from those involved in the creation of OnTheMarket not to have returned to Zoopla on either a permanent or trial basis.
